Robin - Came across this accidently this morning while looking for something else while planning my trip to UK. Not sure what has happened to the story since it was posted March 1 and said the auction would be "next month"
Jack Chalkers collection of FEPOW art will be sold at auction soon and apparently HM Government through the Imperial War Museum has no plans to try to bid on it.
The news story is at

Any news or developments?
Janet - >Robin, do you know where these are up for sale ( eg, Christies, Sotherby's or wherever ?), or how much they are expected to realise ?
It is terrible to think that none of the Far East museums or Assc.'s wish to purchase isn't it .
Robin - The website says it is Bonhams Auctioneers
Janet - Bonham's press release site say the whole collection realised £193,000-00, much more than had been expected and many were bought privately by families of those mentioned in them.
I still think it's a shame they couldn't have been kept together and then Limited edition prints been produced.
There we are.
